Mr Sachsenmaier will remain associated with Mössner as a shareholder and consultant.

We would like to inform you about a significant change in the management of August Mössner GmbH + Co. Franz Sachsenmaier, who has been Managing Director of August Mössner GmbH + Co KG since 1990, has stepped down as Managing Director on 30 June 2024 after more than three decades of successful company management. Mr Sachsenmaier will remain associated with Mössner as a shareholder and consultant.
Under Mr Sachsenmaier’s leadership, Mössner has developed from a company originally specialising in band sawing machines into a leading international supplier in the fields of foundry, aluminium and automation technology. The pioneering developments in the field of CNC-controlled contour saws in the 1980s and the expansion into the US, Chinese and Mexican markets are worthy of special mention. Today, Mössner is the world market leader in the field of large sawing systems for aluminium ingots and an important supplier of highly automated systems for the automotive sector.
The company philosophy created by Mr Sachsenmaier is based on humanity and values, which are also at the centre of the company’s actions in the digital transformation. The generational change was already initiated in 2022, when Christian Kunz and Marco Schulz joined the management team.
Franz Sachsenmaier has given Mössner a successful period full of innovation and progress and has played a key role in determining the direction of our company. We will remember his vision and tireless commitment for a long time to come. Mr Sachsenmaier was given a farewell ceremony at the end of June and surprised with a special gift – tickets for an AC/DC concert, one of his favourite bands. Numerous employees will accompany him and celebrate this special event together with him.
