Mössner is carbon neutral!🍃 🌱
Today, we are pleased to give you a small insight into our climate protection project, the hydropower project “Félou Regional Hydropower” in Mali!
The issue of sustainability is very important to us. Therefore, we continually strive to make an active contribution to sustainable development as part of our corporate social responsibility.
We continuously strive to reduce our ecological footprint.
For this reason, we had the greenhouse gas emissions of our company and our services recorded and offset by purchasing climate protection certificates. With these certificates we support a hydropower project in Mali under the auspices of the United Nations. This makes our company one of the first in our industry to voluntarily offset its emissions under the Kyoto Protocol.
By promoting climate protection projects in developing & emerging countries, we not only make an active contribution to climate protection, but also support the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The regional hydropower project “Félou Regional Hydropower” in Mali aims to produce emission-free hydropower from a hydropower plant on the Senegal River, thus generating climate-neutral electricity. The hydropower project supplies clean energy to the interconnected grid of the sub-region including Mali, Mauritania, and Senegal. This can save around 192,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
We are proud to call ourselves a carbon-neutral company, but we are still committed to continuously reducing our ecological footprint.
