In this project, a unified solution for monitoring the standstill of wheels in different band saw models is being developed. The goal is to replace the currently heterogeneous sensor systems with a standardized and more efficient system.

Together with Tobias Frankenreiter and other colleagues, various sensor technologies are being analyzed and evaluated. Based on 3D models, concepts for integrating the new systems into the band saws are being developed. After the prototype is created, the system will be tested under real operating conditions to ensure its functionality and reliability. If the testing phase is successful, a gradual implementation into band saw operations is planned.
