In contrast to profile sensors, the AS5000 snapshot sensor from Cognex requires only a single shot to create a three-dimensional image. This saves time and provides the highest quality. Unlike the DS1000 reading head, the AS5000 area scan camera uses the Cognex Designer IDE on a Windows-based PC. Image evaluation is also performed with VisionPro Tools.
